Cloudingo allows you to manage your fields for indexing for each object, as well as configure additional merge settings specific to your org.

Manage Objects

Each field used within any  Cloudingo filter must be indexed. When you edit or create a new filter within Cloudingo and add a new field, it will trigger a full re-index on that object. If you intend to create or edit multiple filters with multiple new fields in your filters, it would be beneficial to setup those fields up beforehand in the Manage Objects page. An index will be triggered only one time when managed through your Objects, rather than each time you save a filter with a new field added.

To navigate to the Objects settings page, click on Admin >> Objects from the top, right menu option within Cloudingo.

 

From the Manage Objects page, expand the object that you wish to setup your fields for indexing.

Now you are ready to setup your fields for indexing.

  1. Click Edit Fields to expand the field list. At the bottom of the page, the fields already pre-listed in black boxes are the fields that Cloudingo automatically indexes.
  2. Scroll through the list and click on additional fields that you intend to use within your filters. As you add fields to your list, they will be added to the selected fields at the bottom of the page in an orange box.
  3. Once you have added all necessary fields that will be used within your filters, click ‘Save’.

*Note: Only add fields that you will be using within your filters. Do not add all fields for indexing.


Merge Options

If your org has the ‘Contacts to Multiple Accounts Settings’ enabled in Salesforce, we also offer an option that can be enabled that will accommodate re-parenting of account & contact data during merge. *You will only see this option if your Account Settings in Salesforce have this feature enabled

Salesforce does not support merging of Accounts or Person Accounts with redundant relationships, nor are direct account relationships shifted to indirect relationships when merging Contacts.

Selecting this feature will allow duplicate Accounts & Person Accounts to be merged. Redundant relationships will be removed during the merge.

When merging Contacts with multiple Account relationships, the direct (primary) Account from the child (non-master duplicate) Contacts will become indirect Accounts related to the master Contact.

To enable this feature, go to Admin >> Objects. Under the ‘Merge Options’ section, select the ‘Remove redundant relationships and reparent Accounts’ box.
